Ive put a few hundred rounds though my pre-80 Combat Commander and would like to add a Wilson drop-in beaver tail to make it a little more comfortable to shoot. I assumed i needed part 429BC which is for a Commander frame. However looking at the reviews on MidwayUSA, it appears more than a few people with Combat Commanders used the 429BG part (Government Frame).

Anyone know exactly which i need? Does the Combat Commander use a different part than the Commander? I did some reading and it seems the only different is the length of a part which engages the trigger (sorry, not really in the know with the nomenclature :D).

The frame tangs on the GM are longer than the Commander and Combat Commander. The difference between the Comm. and C Comm. is the frame. The Comm is alloy.
The Commander one should be correct, but fitting may be required.

What you want is Brownells' #965-429-110, it's a model 429BC Wilson Combat. You didn't state preference so, I gave the Blued one for the Commander.
