Had a 'Smith install an extended ejector in my GI Springfield.
But now, it sticks out a bit from the rear of the slide.
What's the best way of trimming-blending-refinishing it so it's even with the slide and doesn't stick out any.
Don't think getting out the Dremel is the best answer.

Ed Brown Extended Ejector
Rear too long, sticks out back of frame-slide a bit.
"Booty-Full" rear end!

You could ask the 'smith to complete the job, or, as posted above, complete it yourself. Not a hard job, really. Just take your time.

I'll do it myself....doesn't sound too bad.
What type file....what next? Fine garnet sandpaper...polishing compound...cold reblue?
Take off receiver...leave on....mask frame-slide and work it down installed or removed?

I say take of the slide, mask the frame and work on the ejector as it is on the frame with a file (sorry I do not know what type), Then use some emery cloth and cold blue.

Depending on how much it sticking out the back.............start with a #4 swiss.........if there's a lot #2 swiss........
Easier to do this if the ejector isn't fastened down, as now you have to be careful not to mark up the frame with the file.
