I figured I would set down and take alittle time to give newbies some advice on the care of airsoft guns.

Spring Powered Models: Maintenance is rather simple. Every 1,000 or so bbs, alittle silicone spray down the barrel to remove any lint or dust and alittle silicone spray in the chamber which is located in the magazine well.

AEG Models: Again maintenance is simple. Every 1,000 or so bbs, alittle silicone spray down the barrel and in the chamber for reasons stated above. It doesn't hurt to check out any exposed wires and the fuse.

GBB Models: Maintenance is alittle more complicated than Springers and AEGs. Dirt is the #1 killer of gas guns. Simply fieldstrip the gun and blow out as much debris as possible. Alittle silicone spray in the barrel. After the upper is back together spray underneath it with silicone and the internals in the frame, than slap it back together. Do not get lazy with GBBs. They need to be cleaned everytime they're used.
