Hello all...
I really was looking at a stinger for my personal carry weapon. I love my TRS, but I have shot so well with it I have made it my competition gun.
I had ordered a Stinger from a fairly reputable company, but after some technical issues I was able to have my order cancelled.
Need some opinions here. Ordering from Baer direct is not cost effective and the wait I hear is much longer. Where have you ordered from? Any problems encountered from those your ordered from? Goods and bads?
Looking forward to responses.
Peace

I have had good luck with Allan Yost and Terry Peters. Allans email is A4t5fan@aol.com and Terry has a website--P&T partners. I also have a stinger which I like a lot.

I had a hard chromed Stinger a while back, it was one of my favorite Baer offerings. In addition to those mentioned above, Frank at: www.K5Arms.com and Jerry at: www.Collectorsfirearms.com usually carry a large inventory in Les Baer. Tell 'em I sent you!

Well the Stinger is on hold for the time being. I met a really cool guy at a local gun shop I found very close to me. What a knowledgable guy. Anyway, I decided to go with the S&W 1911Sc in Stainless/Clear Coat, 4.25 inch barrel, and will personalize it by sending it to Tripp for some finishing touches.
I am sure I will again desire and purchase the Stinger, but for now, I will use my TRS for competition and carry my Smith and or the modified Glock for CCW.
Next time I want a weapon that needs to be special ordered, I will keep the ordering process local. I do not desire to experience BS via email as I experienced from some company in Texas. The face to face conversation is what we are falling away from with the advent of computers. I forgot how helpful a live experience could be! Plus he had calendar models in and out of his store all the time. Check it out at: www.thegunrunner.com
Oh well, just another 2 cents!

When I finally went to the store, Scott is persistent about face to face, it allowed for some very good conversation. Guns, training, deals and even the calendars. Don't get me wrong, I am all for using technology and often order via the net, but with the age of ATMs, Internet, making phone calls and being bullied by voices telling you to push this or that button, we have forgotten how to interact with each other. We wonder why our kids are grammatically challenged...... oh well, not for this thread I fear.
Thanks for your opinions and help!
