Back in the middle of March I had a burglery. Basically, they took the small gunsafe( More of a lockable gun-cabinet) That I kept my shooters and other valuables in. This was somewhat of a feat as it weighed about 300 pounds loaded. Anyway, in it was a 1911A1 I built 14 years ago.
It's a SS Essex frame with a Colt MKIV,Series70 slide, SN-SS2644. It's a full-sized Gov't model, Meprolite Nightsights, Videki Speed trigger, Wilson Combat Speed Hammer, Wilson Combat blued Ambi Thumb-safety, Skip-checkered Rosewood grips and SS Allen-set screws, a McCormick plastic checkered flat MSH, C&S Tactical mag-release and extended slide release along with three McCormick Shooting Star magazines.
I've already gotten my insurance settlement but, I'd like to have my gun back. It has a lot of sentimental value to me. If you see this 1911 or know where it is, please contact me via PM or E-mail or call Det. Mark Penn of the Goshen Ohio PD at 513-732-2331.
