Ambi safty problem

I have an S14-45S. Problem is that when I fire, the safty gets loose and the detent that keeps it held down dosent work as well and if I dont hold my offhand thumb on it, it will jump up and lock the safty between each round. Not sure if this is a problem with ambi-saftys or just something that has come from taking it apart and putting it back together too many times. Any input guys. I do want to get a regular safty any ways cause I'm right handed and will never use it left handed any ways but I just dont have the money right now. Thanks

Yes & Yes. Unless you are left handed I have come to the conclusion they are a PITA but to each his own.

It sounds like you have either a very weak detent/plunger spring or the dimple on the front edge of the safety where the detent pin is supposed to fit to hold it in the off position is not there or not placed right.
You can lightly drill the dimple or replace the plunger spring.
Personally, I'd do both.

OK. I'll do both then, for the time being. But I shouldnt be concerened about it comming a little loose when fireing? It never gets loose enough to come out or anything but is loose enough to irritate me. Thanks guys.
