I just acquired a Colt Series 80 Mk IV LT. Commander. It has a 3.5 inch slide and bull barrel mated to a light weight Commander frame, and is blued. It is 45 ACP caliber with a 7 round magazine.Bluing is about 90%. Can anyone tell me when these were made, about how many were made and what the approximate value would be? Also any other info would be appreciated.
Thanks!

These were one of Colt's limited production runs, probably 500 to no more than 1000 produced and for one year only, don't remember which year.

Congrats, you got a Pitbull-style pistol. The shortest possible barrel with a standard frame! I like this style. Since this is your first post, please be aware that ....

:wl:

So get yourself a digital camera and let's see some pictures.

I have a digital camera, I just need to figure out how to post a picture on the site. I've never posted a picture on a forum before.

You say it's an alloy frame? Hmm, interesting; I've seen the Tank Commander & another of the same ilk (can't remember the name) w/ the Govt.. receiver & Officers slide, but they're both all-steel pistols.

To post pics, use an online host like Photobucket, etc. Once you upload your pic(s), just take the <img> tag & paste it into your post.

I thought the Tank Commander was an officers receiver with a Commander slide. Do I have it backwards?
