I have access to U.S. issue Remington M-1911A1 in excellent condition. Just curious what it might be worth. Thanks

Welcome aboard.
Value depends upon the condition of the firearm and the orginality of all its parts. A nice parts gun might be worth $500. An all original, excellent condition gun might be worth $1500.

I have an original COLT built in 1918 although it has been reparked by the previous owner but it should still be worth some nice coin. It is marked property of US

Gun shows always have a few floating around. The better question would be how much are you willing to spend on one. I am not a collector by any means but there is something about having one of these works of art that has seen several wars and god knows what else in it's 88 years. The best part is she still works great as long as you are feeding her hardball.

Can you provide more details such as finish, serial number, markings, pictures, etc.? Are you basing the pistol as being a Remington Rand by the slide markings or have you verified the manufacture by it's serial number? Depending on the condition, correctness for the period, variation, and so on the price range can be that which Stan's mentioned.

theoretical question: how much will an all original, good condition remington rand 1911a1 cost max?
(will post pics when available.)

A completely correct R-R in 95% plus condition would likely yield $1200, possibly more in certain regions or markets. :)
