ok, using spray-on rem oil on the slide of my parkerized SA mil spec 1911, i've gotten it to a nice deep gray satin-looking finish. the question is, is there any "spray-on" coating that i can use to "lock in" that color and finish. i'm doing things on-the-cheap, so i'm not interested in paying any reall $$$ to have someone coat it, refinish it, etc. i just like the way it is now using the oil-on-parkerized and i'm wondering if there's a way to maintain that. thanks.
