Here's a quick question...
While looking at gunbroker, specifically bellshires wares, I came across this...
http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=173777132
Is there such a thing as a match RIA with a rear tactical sight (novak style)?
If they now have that option, that would be exactly what I'm looking for.
Thanks

I think this part of the description says it all..."From Rock Island's Custom Shop"

The RIA MATCH - has a Bomar style adjustable LPA rear sight. The novak style fixed sight is the RIA Tactical
The Tactical is a production line pistol. The Match is from the Custom shop.

Arent all Match's from the custom shop? And as far as the pic in the link, it looks like the Match, with the front optic sight and the different skeletonized hammer, but in the pic it shows a novak rear site, not the bomar.

That is the FIRST picture I have seen with the F/O front sight and the Novak style rear sight.
I will call Ivan Monday to find out -
To my knowledge the Match has always (in the past) been offered with the Bomar style adjustable rear sight.
If that picture is accurate than that IS A GOOD thing. I prefer the fixed - Tactical style sights.
Just checked his auction - I think the picture is wrong - here is the auction discription - consistent with the Match Specs--------
Semi-auto, recoil operated • From Rock Island's Custom Shop • Steel frame • Slide hand-fitted to frame • Checkered wood grips • Ambidextrous safeties • Beaverail safety • Combat hammer • Fiber-optic front sight, LPA adjustable rear sight

My Match I bought a few weeks ago has the adjustable sight. Sounds like a mix up...

Thats exactly what I thought, BUT for there to be an honest mixup up, it would be either a tactical OR a match in the pic. Its either a photoshopped (which I doubt) or a legit variation of a rock 1911. And I agree longslide, It would be really nice to have a match gun with the Novak rear. I think I've even seen an adjustable rear Novak that would be nice.
