I once owned a Springfield Micro .40 S&W. I didn't keep it long enough to get it "reliable". In the 100 or so rounds I fired through it, about 20% were FTFs or FTEs. I've heard folks say that .40 isn't good in the 1911 platform and all kinds of other stuff. I had a talk with the folks at Springfield a few days ago, as I am considering one of these again. The size is perfect and you get an extra round with 40 verses 45. The Springfield people said they would make it reliable. Should I have shot another 150 rounds through the first one to see if it cleared up or what? Springfield did say that they had a few problems with the .40 mags. Anybody have one of these that they feel like they can count on? I have never had this type problem with my other 1911s.
