I am looking to purchase a high end pistol. I have several SA pistols currently. I was wondering if anyone has the Professional Model PC9111 and if so is it worth the extra cash outlay as compared to say a Nighthawk Talon or a Wilson CQB? Springfield has been very good to me and my Custom Carry from their Custom Shop is great and I also have a Loaded SS that I am happy with also. Any info other than what I could read on the Springfield web site would be helpful. Or should I just send my Loaded SS back and have the TRP package done to it? Thanks in advance.

Anyone have a CQB and a Pro?

I would not consider a TRP a" High End" Gun. Go out and try a NHC Predator...THATS a high end gun. :)

Remember, the PC9111 is the ultimate TRP, not like the PC9108L pistol called the "TRP". The PC9111 is Springfield's Custom Shop "Professional" model. And at nearly $2400 MSRP, I'd say that's a high end gun.

Is the SA PC9111 on California's approved gun list? Where can I find this approved gun list?
Thanks,

I have the PC9111 and you will not be disappointed! It blows my H&K .45 Tactical away!!! You probably will have to wait a couple months after you order the pistol. I placed my order in March and received my pistol in September :scared:
It comes from the custom shop, as noted earlier, and it takes them a while to complete the pistol. Plus, if you want to change anything like, sights or the checkering from 20 LPI to 25 or 30, they will need that ahead of time.

semperlex,

Can you give me a place like a www site to buy the SA PC9111? Since this is an expensive gun, I want to buy it at the most discount. Also, there is a PC9111LR (LR-light rail). Is the LR version needed. This will be my very first handgun. What do you think about buying from a gun show?

Thanks,
