Just wonder what most of you use for a IDPA load. I really don't want to shoot lead because of the chore of cleaning the gun, and I shoot indoor alot. I'd rather spend a few dollars and get a good jacketed bullet.

Thanks

I usually shoot a 200 gr LCWC WITH 4.4 GR of CLAYS FOR 165PF,but a 230 gr Barrys plated in both my Springers at 4.1 gr Clays will make Major(165)
A nice range load is 230 gr plated at 3.9 about 150 pf and shoots like a 22.
Use factory aol on the 230 gr and a 12lb recoil spring.

Try the Precision poly/moly coated bullet. It was originally designed for indoor use, and I prefer them to either conventional cast or jacketed bullets. With the new USPS bulk shipping rates, they are actually cheaper now than they were five years ago.
I've loaded both the Precision 200gr "RNF" (round nose, flat point) and the similar Masterblasters 200gr "spire point" over 4.2 of Clays. That load makes 176 power factor out of my 6" barrel, but should make major in a 5". The poly-coated bullets tend to be a bit faster than conventional cast bullets, for a given powder charge.
