I lost my 1911 AMT hardballer stainless when my saddlebags caught fire in West Virginia along I-76 north-bound. This was back around 1996. I reported it missing at the time. I do not recall the serial # but the slide had my name "Thomas S. Koglman" and a date "05-20-1993" or "05-21-1993" engraved on it. I don't remember exactly, but it may also have had my rank at the time "Lt. or 2ndLt" and "USMC" engraved as well. If anyone has seen this weapon I would appreciate knowing it. My father gave it to me as a commissioning gift. Thanks.
