Got around to adding a C&S trigger kit, Baer full checkered grips, Colt thumb safety and Wilson Combat slide stop and a Colt solid trigger. Back to the range tomorrow for testing.

Great looking pistol, but I have a question: the lighter-shade seen just in front of the slide stop, is it because it's a little dirty in the picture, or is it permanent? It looks like a mark made by the support hand's thumb (for a right handed shooter), but I've only seen it so prominent on a couple of aluminium-framed airsoft pistols.

I didn't wipe her down well. It's lube smudge. The C&S kit worked well except for the disconnector. The hammer would not fall with it in and when I went back to the stock disc it worked fine. This trigger pull is now about 3.5 to 4 lbs. and has the "breaks like glass" feel. This is a heck of a piece for the $399 paid. Will put several hundred more through it today and see how it performs after the work.............TW

Grainfed - The grips look really good. Are they cut for a magwell. Are you going to put one on? If you are, I'd be interested to know which one you choose. I'm thinking about one for my AC2.

The grips are flat bottomed and I will be putting on a S&W magwell with arched MSH...................TW

Grainfed - That is really going to look nice.... Thanks for the feedback.
By the way, did you cut the MA out of the hammer? Or is that a replacement?

I thought the solid triggers came in white, bro.
is that an airsoft trigger bro?
the trigger mod voids your warranty. Was the disconnect too long? maybe you needs to take a little off the top as they say at the post barbershop. that will keep the hammer from dropping, and it will also keep the trigger form connecting with the sear.
My warranties seldom last more than the first day. I usually have mods waiting, while I wait for my pistol.
Isn't that hammer a MIM part, bro.
Like Bro Sims says, take it all out, start from scratch.
Little Sami on the Rock,
I'm so little I can do a free fall off a thin dime, bro.

what did you not like about the hammer and grip safety???????

I didn't care for the looks of the hammer at all. The grip safety is stock. I assume you meant the thumb safety. The stock thumb safety had too much filed off of it and was too easy to click down to the firing position. I have several spare Colt TS's so I put one in that is just right. Easy to engage and harder to disengage. The hammer came with the C&S trigger Pro kit. The kit comes with a stated 5 lb. pull but I tweaked it to a bit under 4 lbs. I am very sold on the C&S kits and have them in several 1911's. The trigger on this AMII is as good as both my Baers. I continue to be amazed at the price point for this "import". I am seriously thinking of getting their other G.I. model. It's up to $450 locally but is in stock where I bought the AMII. .......TW
