If you can get a set of new grips, what would you like to have on them? For example, like you prefer them to be in exotic wood...smooth or checkered...or have special markings on them etc etc... :)

Exotic wood, double diamond, checkered. Color and grain would be dependent
upon the pistol. Certainly no rubber wrap arounds ! :D

Rubber grips are a thing of the past for me. As Mvician said, exotic wood, but I think I prefer smooth surface rather than checkered. Haven't made up my mind on this. Color and patterns are what I look for. Esmeralda has some excellent ones, I use them on my pistols now, and I love them.

I would also love to have my initials engraved on a set, but I do not think Esmeralda does this.

Plain checkered cocobolo on dark (blued, parked, etc.) guns and Gunner grips on lighter ones (stainless, chromed, etc.).

I purchased a pair of grips from Esmeralda, they are pricey but you get to look at the actual photographs of the grips you purchase, that way you know what you are getting.

I put a pair of her smooth grips on a Wilson CQB with black slide and OD frame, look better than I thought they would. Smooth grips really show the grain of the wood and those grips are very beautiful. I like the smooth grips because it won't eat up the lining of jacket when carrying concealed.

I like either wood or rubber.......

Wood.......exotic with either double diamond or angle checkered.
I picked up set of angle checkered Cocobolo grips at the Colt show this last weekend. Very nice from Tony Rist, he's out of Carson City Nevada.

As for rubber, I like the stock Colt rubber grips that come on the Enhanced and Delta Elite models. Thery're not checkered, but a fine pepple like finish. It doesn't grip the hand like checkered rubber, it gives enough grip but still allows the hand to move if needed.
