Does anyone know roughly how many 1911 style pistols are there in the US today? :confused:

Approximately 3 million were made for the US military alone. If you count all the foreign clones and commercial pistols made as well it's easily double that number.

Wow! That's a pretty impressive figure...out of all that, how many you think are in 'active' use? And how many were full size? :confused:
