Well, here are photos of my rock with the mag well and hiviz sites installed. The first of several changes I hope to make.

Hey, good job that is a nice sight picture, I just saw this you may want to check it out but may be too weird for a rear sight, unless you like S&W revolver sights...http://i9.photobucket.com/albums/a99/3006mv/page08.gif . Good luck w/ the rear, you can also check out the KINGs website for another rear sight that is tall that may match your front, give em a call I hear they are very helpful if you don't hear from Hi'Viz, good luck.

How much room is there between the sides of the rear sight and the edges of the new front sight? What kind of hole does your RIA have? Is it fat, think, or round? I'm thinking of new sights for mine, but don't want to get something that doesn't fit.

Thanks in advance for your help!

If you are talking about the front tenon width, you would need a sight that has the narrow tenon.

The front sight that I currently have installed fills the rear, but I find that I like that sight picture. The nice thing about the HiViz is that you have your choice of 6 different fiber optic rods to change out to your liking, all included with the base. Three green, and three red. Both the green and red rods come in small, medium and large diameter rods, so you can choose what fits you best.

I dont know that there is "benefit"-----just merely personal preference. This sight does allow you the option of changing out the fiber optic rods, so that you can choose the one you like best.

After having them for a little while, I think I am going to switch them back out. They do not seem to be a sturdy sight. The slightest bump to the sight and it moves.

I like my hi viz on my revovler, it does not move. Can you restake yours so it doesn't move? I will try to post a pic of my revolver when I get a chance. I wonder if you could weld it on somehow. good luck

I think that because the RIA requires the narrow tenon, that there just isnt enough tenon to support the rather large sight base.

I wonder if you could weld it on somehow.

Silver soldering will keep it there for you. But you'd better remove that fiber optic first, or else it will melt.
