Colt 1911 Ser.69308

In the year 1953 my Uncle Ernie gave me a Colt 1911 pistol.

Much to my foolishness I sold the old Colt.

Today I am looking for my old friend, Colt serial # 69308.

Can anyone help me find this old gal?

It think it will be extremely hard to find a particular gun, even if you have the serial number. Not impossible, just extremely hard and close to impossible.

best bet, on a guess, would be to start with whom u sold it to originally and start tracking its path from there. might be the easiest way, unless someone registers it and where they register it at doesn't consider giving out that info a violation of privacy act.

Get a LEO (possibly even a member here) to run that #? see if it's been stolen, etc.? Bob
