Any guesses when the Colt XSE Government will be available with an upswept beavertail?
1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th quarter?
What is typical for Colt's pistol release schedule?
Or was the model just a teaser for ShotShow?
Thanks,
Jake

My suggestion would be to call Colt.
Be sincere, be honest, and be straight-forward. Ask to speak with someone who knows the production schedule, and politely ask that person to cut through the "smoke and mirrors", to give you an approximate production date.

and then post it here so we will all know. :appld:

Some of them already have it (Combat Elite, Rail Gun).
Do let us know what they say, manufacturing wise it makes sense for them to standardize. I hope it is true that they are going to have real Novak sights as well.

they have had Novak sights from time to time it seems (mine are)...I'm fine with the Duck Bill but understand it isn't everyone's cup of tea...I too would have rather had a nicely fitted (and not razor sharp) grip safety...

Whenever it happens, I am sure there will follow a number of posts like "Where can I get one of those duck bill grip safeties like Colt used to use?"

EXACTLY! Followed by, "Why couldn't they have used an Ed Brown beavertail, instead!"
