New Member, Hello

I am a new member and wanted to introduce myself. I am an NRA Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor and work in the Corrections field. I am licensed in my state for concealed carry and do exercise my right. I currently own two Colt Commanders 1 Nickel Liteweight sr # CLW048XX (Colt says made in 1982) and a blued 80 series Combat Commander sr # CJ313XX (Colt says made in 2002). I have spent many hours reading the posts here and have even learned a thing or two ( OK I learned a lot, mostly that I didn't know as much as I thought I did before I started coming here). I look forward to becoming a part of this community.

There are 2 people you really need to look out for when talking about Commanders...........I'm one of them, and the other is Tuner...........always looking to abscond any when we can...............so beware! :D

Welcome aboard Ariz Commander. Yup, 1911 experts are Wichaka and 1911Tuner. By the looks of your combat commander the S/N reveals it's a Colt 1991A1.

Welcome AZ Commander, have a few friends who worked at Bonita and another friend who is semi-retired Texas Dept. of Corrections near Huntsville.
