I have purchased a Springfield GI45 and was wondering what is a good magazine to purchase. I have cycled 100 rounds using the supplied clip and it functions well. Any suggestions?

I've had some very good luck with MegGar magazines, Wilson, and metalform are also very good mags. I personally like to stick with 7 rounders. 8 round magazines seem to cause more trouble than the extra round is worth.

1911Slabsides has spoken the truth, especially about extra capacity mags!

I like Chip McCormack stainless mags. Have a 7 and 8 rounder and the both function very well. No problems at all with them and I think I will be getting more. BTW, I think Midway has them on sale .....

I also like Mecgar magazines. I think the best magazines I have tried are Mag Pack. I think that Brownells has them. I like them better than Wilson.
I have had pretty good luck with McCormick, but not as good as some others. It seems to me that 1911s are the most magazine sensitive of all semi autos. You may have to try several to get some that work with all kinds of ammo.
If you have last round jams it is probably weak springs in the magazine.
I don't have any but many like the Tripp Cobra the best. They are a little expensive, but a few won't break the bank. Actually they aren't more expensive than Wilson for example.

I just ordered some of his upgrade kits, so I will see how they do.
See what others say. There is a lot of knowledge here.
