As a follow up to my previous post ( No answeres yet I apologize if I posted incorrectly) If my A1 was made by Ithaca, with a Colt NM slide...what is it?
A Colt National Match? An Ithaca National Match? Has the value been compromised? Is it worth $600 or is it a good $300 shooter ?

I didn't see your other post, but unless your pistol has the other Springfield NM modifications, it is just a parts gun with an NM slide. The NM slide was not introduced until 1963 which would seem to indicate that it was added after your pistol left the military. Springfield NM pistols of that time period have SA, NM, and T stamped on the right side of the frame in addition to several other modifications.

Thanks Johnny.....Here is my original post. I saw no Springfield markings but I'm pretty sure it's an Ithaca frame based on number and markings..

"Recently acquired a NM and need a little help. I believe it was made by ithica about 1943 and later taken out of service and re-done as a national match See what you think?
United States Property No1228843 on right side of frame with the number"1" on the right front of the trigger guard.
There are the initials "FJA" on the left side just below the slide release and a "P" just below the mag release. There is a "+" on the left front of the trigger guard.
The slide has NM 7791435 on the left side with an Elliason rear sight with no other markings. Am I close?"
