I've noticed some posts here that do not give enough info. When posting about your stolen gun be sure you list city, state, and agency name and phone number. You should also list a case number & the name of the detective in charge of your case so he can be contacted directly.
Several states have cities of the same name. Ie; there is a Miami Ohio, as well as Fla. There is a Atlanta, Tx as well as Ga. So don't assume everyone will think Miami refers to the big city in south Florida
Guns can be transported very easily. A friend had a gun stolen here in Texas and it was recovered in a drug raid 10 years later in Miami, Fl. Your gun might be stolen in Ca. but show up in a gun show in Maine. It would make recovery easier & faster to have the above info in your thread. The local police could contact the reporting agency a lot quicker.
