If 185321 is the serial number that I see, it is not correct. That number is in the 1917 range. And if the real number is 1,853,21X, then that would put the frame into the Ithaca serial number range which is a likely scenario. The pictures you have shown us do not give us a very clear idea what the finish really looks like. It kind of looks like it's been scrubbed on very hard but maybe thats just the pictures.

If it once was original, it certainly isn't now......

What is the actual serial number on the frame? The USP and the M1911A1 U.S. ARMY markings look OK from what we can see but a close up picture would be needed to tell for sure. Also on left side, the P proof mark is gone and the FJA inspector marks are gone as well. It could be a legitimate military frame that someone ground off some of the markings or else it's an aftermarket frame that someone tried to make look like a military....

the original color of this gun is the actual color of the slide top.
i just sand it all off to make it look like my colt super.38.

Close-up pictures of the gun's components, field-stripped, would help.
In any case, it's an altered gun.
