I own a M1911 Colt manufactured by the Springfield Armory in 1915, serial number 83531 in excellent condition. It comes complete with two regular holsters, a shoulder holster, several clips and plastic and walnut grips. Can anyone give me a tip on where I can go to receive an accurate value of this M1911?

You maybe be able to find help through an appraisal service that specializes in antique & military firearms, or through a gun collectors association in your area. When I lived in Virginia a 1917 SA in about 90% condition sold at the Richmond gun show for $2200. If yours is in excellent condition 95-98% condition, and being close to the end of the sn# run that ended at 83555 your weapon may be of higher value to the right person.
