I'm in the process of buying a Model 1911 manufactored by US&S. It is in a holster that looks to have been w/ the pistol for many years. The serial # is 1,055,xxx.It was carried by a 2nd. Lt. in WWII. This information is from his daughter. The condition of the gun is 90%. I'm trying to place a value on this pistol .
Any help would be appreciated.

We would have to see pictures before any value could be given. We don't know if you have the original finish or if it's been refinished. Also many times there are parts that are not original to the pistol as well. The prices can range from $600 to $6000 on the US&S pistols depending on condition and originality

Welcome to the Fourm.
Im going to assume you are referring to a M1911A1, since US&S didn't make any M1911s. As mentioned.... pictures will determine possible value, and barrel markings, etc.

Congrats, looking forward to the pictures.
Don't store the pistol in the holster!
