Ok guys, who can tell me the spring life on the RIA 4" commander model? I've read where other short barrel models tend to have short spring lives (800 rounds or so), and was wondering when I should replace the one in my commander. Also, where is the best place to find them (would also like to have a spare guide rod plug).
Thanks

Which type of guiderod setup does your pistol use (single or dual-spring)? The recommendations vary with type, etc. but 1500-rounds is a good average.

My RIA has the single spring, FLGR, not captured, reverse plug... if that sounds correct.

I'd say 1000 to 1500 rounds.

OK, I read on one of the boards about the Wolff Colt officer's model spring fitting the RIA commander correctly. Does anyone have first hand knowledge of this? Also, what weight spring would I most likely want?

Yep, that's the one they list for Kimber ProCarry's & Compact's (also 4" pistols). Two different springs are listed; you'd want the Officers spring that's listed as fitting one of the above. Factory weight is 22lb's.
