Colt 1911A1 Serial # question

Hi guys,
I came across a nice Colt 1911a1 in the serial range that duplicates Ithaca's. Is there a price premium for these?

To some collectors they may bump the value a little bit for a duplicate serial number range.... but the bottom line has, and always will be, originality, and condition.

Have any of you fellow collectors ever run across duplicate numbered A1s, such as a Colt and an Ithaca, RR or US&S. I know it's a long shot but it's possible.

I don't think there is any premium for the Colts in the duplicated serial ranges for Ithaca and Remington Rand. They are far too common.

However, Colts in the US&S range...they seem to command a bt of a premium in my experience.

No, I haven't owned any matching duplicated numbers pistols. I think it would be interesting, but...I wouldn't pay a big price for that number unless it first had super high condition and originality.
