Greetings,

I am thinking about purchasing a SS Colt Officer's Match Gold Cup 1911 from a used gun dealer. I was told that this pistol must have been made at the Colt Custom Shop given that it has not appeared in any collector books. has anyone heard of this pistol? I have inspected it and apparently it is being sold with two interchangeable slides.

A member or 2 has shown pics of that set here. They show for sale once in a while as well on GB.

Does it look like this? It should have two slides numbered to the pistol.

Yes it does look like the one pictured.. Any idea as to its value if in excellent condition and can you comment on its rareity / collectability?
