Is this a proper slide stop for the serial number on this 1943 produced Remington Rand? This serial number is in the 1344000 range and shows a serrated slide stop. I thought Remington Rand did not go to the serrated till around 1350000 production number and produced checkered slide stops till then. Am I wrong on this or can anyone help. Also does this look like a correct parkerized finish for this serial number?? Thanks for any help?

I think they started using the serrated slide stops around July of '43.

Any ideas what a gun in this condition should go for, if all marks are right and all original. A ballpark figure??? I am looking to buy it. Was supposed to have come from a bird colonel's estate, but you know how stories go.

$1000 plus or minus if, as you say, it's all correct.

Personally, I couldn't say Sir. Take some more pictures and post them, and the more experienced collectors should be around later in the AM.
