Before you all run away screaming >> i cant have a calibre greater than .38

I wish to know what barrels are available for the Springfield ( with the feed ramp on barrel ) in 9mm.

Its a 9mm slide so i assume i maybe able to use 9 x 23 or 9 x 25 , or even .38 super rimless ?

Anyone suggest where i start ?
What style ramp Springfield use ? Nowlan or para ?

Given the proper barrels and the correct extractor tension..

you may have set up in a 1911 9mm..

9x19, 9x21, .356TSW, 9x23, 38 super, 38 supercomp ( and 38TJ).

9x25 is based off the 10mm case necked to .355.

hope that helps..

depending on how new or old you springfield barrel is..they used to use their own ramp configuration..it was similar to the Wilson/Nowlin..just little shallower...I believe the current cut is a W/N ..but you would need to measure..

where to start..do you have access to barrel makers..and a pistolsmith..
several good barrels out there that can be fitted...if you are asking Springfiedl to do it..you will be limited in your choices...

Thanks,

I found one pistol smith that does STI frames etc and IPSC mods.
he sells the .38 supercomp gear.

I will check his prices tomorrow

I noticed that there was a spate of .38/45 conversions when they made .45 a prohibited calibre
