posted this on another board, give it a try here as well, got a walter g. penfield inspector stamped pistol in trade for a import stamped carbine. not to pretty the pistol for its' age. the slide that was on the pistol is of the correct style, but i don't think it the original should i try to restore or use as a shooter. also have a colt lunchbox i got last weekend at a show its' in better condition than the afore mentioned pistol and all original parts' wise. opinions' please. thanks' STU

Could you post some pics, how about first 3-4 digits of the serial numbers?

Can you post some pictures, for a better opinion? Looks like from your other thread you figured out how to do it.

i found out what i didn't what to believe about it. it is a parts' pistol now, the feed ramp has been butched and so has the barrel. had a 2 cases bulge and one blow out. gun not safe to shoot. a friend of mine is building a retro 1911 from a caspian frame and will use the 1911 parts' for the build up and will demill the frame. he made me a resonable offer for the pistol. its' kaput. to bad i wanted for a knock about in the woods' type pistol. it fit the bill as far as condition, if i dropped or nicked it up it didn't matter it was a shooter. the lunchbox i posted pics' of, is cadillac compared too it.
