No more Kodachrome... RIP our best ever slide film... :(

My son mentioned it to me this past weekend... didn't want to believe him, but evidently, Kodak has pulled the plug, so to speak... :butthead:

from Wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kodachrome) and other sources...

On June 22, 2009 Eastman Kodak Co. announced the end of Kodachrome production, citing declining demand.

Straight from the horse's mouth...

It is indeed unfortunate. I didn't even get the chance to shoot a roll, after my recent return to film.

Too bad, the choice of my youth!

You had to go all over the internet to verify something that's been posted here twice? You're slipping Cliff. :p :D

John,

There might still be some in the supply chain... but the processing sunset date is perhaps more important (to those keeping some Kodachrome in their freezer).

With the Greek market what it is, I do not think there is even one roll of Kodachrome 64 in Greece any more.

Oh well, the Fuji Velvia seems to be a decent replacement.
