Does two tone magazine belongs to commercial models only or also correct for military 1911s? TIA

Make that two tone. Except for the first few 1911 magazines, all Colt .45 ACP magazines were two tone up until the 1940 time period. It was a part of the heat treatment process.

Yes, two tone. So, both military and commercial 1911s were correct with either two tone or all blue ? Thanks.

Yes, there were both correct full blue and two tone magazines in commercial and military pistols.

Serial number and date of production will detemine which is correct for a specific pistol.

There were also markings to consider, besides just the finish, to determine when a magazine was produced and for which pistols.
