I had some pistols out for cleaning etc., so I thought I would take some photos.

This Colt, #810 was in the first shipment of 500 to the Navy in 1912. It was assigned the the USS Delaware at some time in it's career. The Delaware was scrapped in the 1920's at which time it was probably returned to Springfield Armory.

In 1937 it was shipped to the historic USCG Station, Chatham , Mass on Cape Cod. After I posted it on this Forum some time ago, a retired Coastie contacted me and asked if he could have a photo of the Colt. It seems that he had been assigned to the Chatham Station and wanted the photo to post in the museum of the Station, of course I sent him the photo....
