I have a 1943 production Remington Rand M1911-A1 in almost unfired condition that I bought from an old friend years ago. He was a firearms instructor during the Korean War and this was one he took home with him when he got out. Any idea of the value of this nice old gun? I have shot it some myself, but it shows literally no wear and is parkerized.

Thanks for your help

Steve

Can you post the sn# or at least the first 3 digits and "X" the rest out? Pictures and more details of the markings would greatly help in determining what you have. Provided the weapon is all original and correct for the period you may have something there. Visit www.coolgunsite.com 1911 ID pages and gallery for pictures and details for the R-R.

Pictures would also be helpful.

Just shooting from the hip, a 'nice' RR with all original parts will be upwards of $1200 around my neck of the woods.
