I just bought a SA TGO2 and noticed it has an ejector that is locktited (glued) in place. There is no pin through the frame holding it in. I have two questions for the 'smiths out there:

(1) Do these come loose?

(2) Can a pinned ejector be fitted (if and when the OEM come loose)?

my ejector was pinned and it still came loose... so even though i feel better about mechanical retention (a pin)
i found out first hand that its not perfect.
as far as retro-fittng a pinned version.....beats me...i would suggest to seek the advice of a competent gunsmith.
finally my first rule applies.....if it aint broke, don't fix it.

Yes, a replace can be pinned in place if there is a hole for the pin to hold the front leg of the ejector.

I would not worry about it until it comes loose. For the little money a gunsmith would charge, it would be well worth it to let him/her replace it.

Answers;

1) Yes

2)Yes, the frame will have to be drilled for the pin hole.

what wichaka said.

You are okay without it. that pin is really only there to keep the extractor from falling out when the slide is taken off, if it's not loose don't worry about it.
