I have a Colt Delta Gold Cup. The elevation screw finally gave up the ghost and won't hold the Accro sights down. Fortunately I found a new screw at Numrich and have ordered it. The screw is pinned to the leaf on a flange on the screw and has two spring loaded invisible little balls diametrically opposed on the screw head that index the screw in a hexagon shaped hole
The instant I pulled the screw out I knew it was going to no fun putting it back together.
Does anybody have a trick?
I'm thinking heavy grease and some very thin shimstock to slide it in and then pull the shimstock. Even that doesn't sound easy.
