I have a what appears to be a 1911 a1 frame complete with the plastic
wwII grips, It has a serial number on the right side over the trigger-
G969xxx . There are no other markings on the frame , it is a light gray parerized finish. I was wondering if anyone has any idea what this is? there is no slide but all the lower controls-safety - slide catch-hammer all are functioning, I was thinking about putting an Ithica slide, and barrel that I have on it. Any input would be greatly appreciated, I would post a picture but the posting rules say I am not allowed to post attatchments?
