Hi All,
I have been scrounging 45cal and 9mm caseings the past month - getting ready to reload. In my scrounging I found that there were tons of 40 cal caseings. I have been saving these for I don't know why. Also, I have read no grips about 40cal. ammo shortage.

Is this caliber unpopular or what? There sure is a lot of 40cal caseings for a caliber that is unpopular....

Thanks

its a popular LEO caliber.

at the ranges out there, you can uaually find them alot since the LEOs dont have to pay for thier practice ammo and they just leave the brass.

btw, i would keep/sort out and clean (if you have a tumbler) the 40. you can try to Sell, Trade or recycle it.

I have pretty much the same experience. Plenty of .40 brass lying around the range but precious few .45auto .
I was thinking I'd get a pistol to shoot the .40 and only shoot reloads from day one!

I gave a 1 gallon ziplock bag full (busting at the seams) to a friend yesterday. I dont have any use for it. One day I'll find a deal I cant pass up and wish I had some of it back I'm sure.

Saving mine to trade or if I get a 40cal. 1911 down the road, I'll be set.
