You know, ones that will fit the factory rear dovetail with the narrow tang for the front.
Any opinions???

I don't have night sights yet... but I have been eyeballin' some. I know that Trijicon makes a set that is a direct fit for Government/ 1911 A1s. Reasonably priced too:
Trijicon Sights (http://www.opticsplanet.net/trijicon-night-sight-sets-for-colt-ca02.html)
Meprolight makes a really nice adjustable night sight set. However, the front tenon is the wider version which would require opening up the slot or carefully filing down the tenon. A bit more pricey too @ ~ $120:
Meprolight Sights (http://www.meprolight.com/default.asp?catid={77D1EE9F-01BA-43B4-83FA-A3B490209BAA}&details_type=1&itemid={A410B103-CB60-4089-93F2-7C08A01AA04D})
From what I have found, any night sights should be either professionally installed by a smith or you need a special front sight fixture (along with a staking tool) to prevent the tritium capsule from crushing. Brownells makes one here:
Brownells Night Sight Fixture (http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/productdetail.aspx?p=23363&st=night%20sight%20fixture&s=)
I think I am going to try to just weld up some stock and make my own fixture. Take this all for what it is worth. I am pretty much a newbie to the 1911 and there are many here with much more experience who will probably chime in. Good luck!

The Trijicon sights you link to are the ones I have bought for mine. I haven't got to see them yet as I'm overseas and want be back home till the 1st week of April. But I am confident I can install them myself as did one of the other members here did. If I remember right he used a piece of aluminum and cut a slot just the width of the blade so it was supported by the base and then used the staking tool. I figure if one can do it so can I. So at least I am going to try.
But the Trijicon CA-02 are the ones that are the right size. You may have to file the rear sight just a bit to fit it properly.

Also check the Fusion sights. I don't have them personally but I have heard nothing but good things.

Thanks for the info guys!!!
It seems that the Trijicon sights are the only direct replacement sights for the GI Rock.
That is the same thing that my research has told me, and since the Rock is at the smith as we speak, I think they're the ones that are gonna go on my Rock for now.
Later in it's life I'm gonna have some dovetails cut for XS 24/7 night sights....but that'll be a long way off.
THANKS AGAIN!!!
