First of all I am not advocating anyone to trigger boost unless you want to gamble and must know what you are doing to the inards of your piece. I did it out of ignorance just because I thought it was a cheap way of getting a trigger job. I got lucky! After reading the negative responses, I ordered from Midway 2 sets of Wilson trigger, hammer and sear kits and Wilson spring kits. A just in case move!
I took my 1911's out to the range 3 times and put 300 rounds through each.
1. My first session, I did not know what to think! I never shot so good before.
2, My second session, I was totally elated.
3. My third session, I'm just going to save the parts I ordered.
The triggers on both 45's; Softer pull, a very predictable bang. It did not matter if my sights seemed to move around as long as the bang and my sights were lined up.
At 25 yards benched.
for the tactical 70% in the black.
for the GI plain jane 85% in the black.
I am sure the % would be higher after getting more shooting experience. (quit squinching my face and lifting my shoulders in expectation of the bang).
For me that is a feat!
