I used this thread because a previous post about building the Dominator was moved here.
It is a 357 Max Pachmayr Dominator on an Argentine lower. I plan to use it for Deer Hunting. Illinois requires a straight sided factory case (There is one exception), so cartridge selection is limited. The complete Argentine 1911 was actually cheaper than building a lower from scratch. These units normally came with 15" barrels. This one was cut to 10"" for field use.
