I much prefer the checkered wood grips, and I know I have seen some pictures of guns on here with them. Where is a good place to look for them? Do I need to be careful that they are cut for the ambi-safety?

BTW, newbie here, but this site "persuaded" me to go with a RIA first. I plan on branching out and giving them some other members of the family in the future. I think I would like to give the Sprinfield Mil-Spec a try as well.

Thanks

Click on the Brownells Banner Ad near the top of this page. You will need full size 1911 Grip panels.

Best of Luck!

Whoever you get the grips from you probably want to order the ambi cut grips. As I remember that option has not cost me extra in any of the grips I have ordered, is not too noticable if you put them on a pistol without ambi safeties, and nice if you love them and move them to another pistol in the future, or sell them.
