I got an STI and went to take it apart. Found that I could not turn the bushing by hand and had to pry it out with a screwdriver.
I contacted STI and they said I could use lapping compound to loosen it up.
I have been working on it about an hour with fine silcicon carbide lapping compound. It seems easier to turn with the bushing but still can't turn it by hand.
But my actual problem is I can't get the bushing out at all now. I can't even pry it out with a screwdriver.
Did I mess something up? Will it eventually come out?
Should I give up now before I hurt something and give it back to STI to fix?
