Is the magazine well filler absolutely necessary for a stippling job? I have seen a few people who did not say they used it, but it makes me wonder if the stainless is strong enough to not bend under a couple hundred blows... even if they are light strikes, it seems like it could deform.

Looking forward to some comments by more experienced 1911ers.
