GC sear assy - whats the trick

I had a used Colt Cup Elite arrive, took it apart for a bath before putting it in the case and this sear is a bear with that spring loaded depressor (SP52444B)

Any of you have a trick for assembly so I don't pull the last 3 strands of hair out of my head?

I was thinking to cut a rod (or old sear pin) and install everything as one piece? anyone else have a suggestion :butthead:

looked around but didnt see anything on it in any posts.

In automotive fields this is called a dummy shaft and works well. Load up the assembly and insert into the "hole" and then slide in the working pin and push the dummy out.
