Cheap FS 1911 G10 Slim Grips

Hey all,

Has anyone seen any cheap G10 grips for a full size 5" 1911 around? The only ones I've seen are $65+ and I would still have to get new slim screws/bushing! This is for a RIA tactical w/ single sided safety.

Slim would be preferred but it would not be a deal breaker. I would like to pay less than $30 dollars if possible. The style of the grips doesn't matter, just no wrap-around or smooth grips.

PS: If there simply isn't such a beast, how much different does micarta feel? Does it withstand the scrapes, scratches, and dents that G10 does?

I think Cheaper than dirt has some fs 1911 grips for $20. If I remember correctly-I know they had some checkered wood for that price and I think some plastic or rubber ones too. Have you checked ebay?

You may want to check with Davidsons, they have an interesting variety of options that may work for you...lots of combos in their inventory that might be on track.
