Don't know if this in correct forum but here goes.

Didn't someone use to make a checkered front strap that could be added to the frame and was held on by placing the grips back on the frame???

Skateboard tape will get the job done too.

What Hersh said. For 1$ you can get enough tape to cover up the front strap of about 10 guns.

I went the Wilson strap route until I started doing mucho drills drawing and presentation. The dar things get loose and come off at the darndest time. I went to plain old skateboard tape and problem solved.

I second the above experience; the checkered front strap insert seems to work it's way loose over time. I gave some brief thought to epoxying it on, but went with the tape instead, and haven't looked back.

Yeah, if you don't want to sink the $ and/or time into checkering it, tape's the deal. Cheap, do-it-yourself, and highly customizable. If the grit's wrong for your hand, try some of the adhesive-backed rubbery stuff to keep you from slipping in the shower...that's also available in designer colors. :D

Yeah but for $10 bucks it's worth a try. At least for me. I am going to run a thin bead of epoxy right in the center. If it becomes a problem I'll just pull some from the "she don't know" fund and have the strap checkered.

...that's also available in designer colors. :D Designer colors? Yikes! I like the idea of the rubber, though.
